RESPECTING INDIGENOUS PARTNERSHIPS
Our Indigenous
Inclusion Policy
Cycle Infrastructure believes that solid relationships are built on a foundation of open communication, trust, respect, and understanding. We recognize Indigenous peoples’ inherent and constitutionally protected rights and respect Indigenous traditions, knowledge, values, and beliefs. We strive to be an engaging leader in industry to help understand the importance of Treaty Rights, Traditional Territories, and Boundaries.
We are committed to working with all Indigenous peoples, creating relationships with trust, respect, and integrity while advancing workforce and business development opportunities. We intend to build understanding and collaboration on common interests while developing natural resources and furthering innovations and sustainability in the environmental and energy industries. Indigenous Inclusion starts with a commitment from Cycle Infrastructure’s leadership and its mentorship and support to all individuals and contractors related to our business and its ongoing development.

Commitment to Indigenous Inclusion and Reconciliation
Indigenous Inclusion is woven into all aspects of our organization. We believe it is our responsibility to be a leader and mentor in supporting Canada’s commitment to Truth and Reconciliation. As an organization, we are committed to establishing and maintaining a respectful relationship between our nation’s First Nations and non-First Nations peoples.
Indigenization is the process of naturalizing Indigenous knowledge systems and making them evident to transform spaces, places, and hearts. This process is about moving beyond tokenistic gestures of recognition or Inclusion to meaningfully change practices and structures. United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) is about the respect and recognition of the human rights of Indigenous peoples. This involves bringing Indigenous knowledge and approaches together with Western knowledge systems. Cycle Infrastructure integrates a traditional mentality with today’s business practices. We make decisions on protocols with an Indigenous lens.
We believe in being accountable to each other, the Vision, our Partners, and the Public. We respect the needs, values, and traditions of our lands and waters, local communities, and cultures. We forge relationships based on mutual benefit and trust. Trust and accountability will be achieved by building relationships, being competent, transparent, and following through on our commitments.
